Location-location!! 3 miles to town.
Architecturally elegant and unique design situated with beautiful views. Very peaceful and quiet – the only house on the street. I call the area ‘country suburbia’ with houses peppered in the neighborhood about 1/4 mile away. Main dwelling – 34 ft diameter, wooden floors & two 5 1/2 ft round windows over looking great views. (At the time of this entry, the yard is not totally secure for pet safety. Please double check if this is a need.) Large kitchen, open plan space; king bed/queen loft.
Please look closely at pictures and note: The loft bedroom wall is a short artsy ‘fence’. While it is a very unusual and beautiful structure, it only provides sight privacy while in bed but, because it is open, there is not sound privacy. Dome 2 is smaller but has a privacy door. The picture on this site shows a ladder to get to the loft , but I have replaced it with stairs.
Parents, please be aware for your children, and decide if the stairs and the ‘fence wall’ in the loft is safe for them. As well, there is a floating glass table, that could be dangerous for rambunctious children that are as tall as the table! I’m not a Mom, so I feel it my responsibility to point these things out since you know your kiddos best. About 2% of parents felt this house could be a concern for their children. That said: Kids love this home! And folks love it for retreats, writing, meditation, yoga, dancing, playing and fun!

*** Grace's dome house is really amazing place. Its unusual architecture and interior makes it one of the most unique places I have ever stayed in. Crestrone is also a very unique town, very remote, very spread out and right next to the mountain range. Sunsets are amazing, and you can see the moon rising over the mountains out of the round windows of the dome. Just purely breathtaking. —Dev
*** One of the most quirky, yet beautiful places you'll ever be for a getaway off the grid. Grace's followup was thorough and prompt. She messaged us an entire guide of what to do and where to go for all of our needs. We relied heavily on her suggestions and it made our trip so much more relaxing! The town of Crestone is small yet accommodating. Friendly folks. The dome itself was a blast. Clean, well cared for, and charming. A worthwhile and memorable experience. Book with confidence! —Meilin
*** The place is very very unique with the dome structure. The design itself impressed our friends and we were so excited about the stay. The next day we even cancelled our plan and decided to stay at home to enjoy the place. We did some star gazing and the stars were really bring and it was one wonderful experience. Since the house is dome structured the acoustics was very unique, you can speak soft at one end of the house and you will hear it clear and loud the other side. All the fun and unique features of the house made it an awesome experience for us. They even let us check out late around 1pm. —Fermin
*** The dome was amazing! We had a very good time. It is quiet and pristine place. The views are splendid. Grace was communicative and welcoming. —Sasha
*** Stunning location--perfect if you're going to the San Luis Valley for Great Sand Dunes National Park, hot springs, or maybe the UFO watchtower. Gorgeous dome home, plenty warm in the winter, with stunning views. -Elizabeth Jarrad
*** This place is the coolest! Ava Grace was so accommodating and helpful throughout the process (even when I accidentally booked the wrong month!). Gave great suggestions on where to go in the area and the place was so comfortable and homey, also did I mention SO COOL! Beautiful views, right near a Tibetan shrine that you could quickly walk to, and we took Ava’s's suggestion to go to Valley View Hot Springs. What a treat!! I only with I had more time here, I would definitely book again. -Samantha Bell
*** The home is well located within the Crestone area with spectacular view of the Sangre de Cristos and the San Luis Valley from the patio and from the delightful circular windows. Sunrise and sunsets are lovely shows. The home is large, spacious and clean. If you want to experience a dome house, this is it! The bathroom is immaculate. The loft makes a fine place for a family with children. The home is a great base for heading into the Sangre de Cristos and seeing the sites in the rest of the valley, like the Dunes. Though no one was on site to meet us, there was no problem entering and finding our way around. -Stephen Swidler
